Two Endangered Whale Sharks Spotted Off Abu Dhabi Coast

It’s fair to say nature is healing in the UAE as two endangered whale sharks were spotted swimming in Abu Dhabi’s Al Bahia channel yesterday.

Abu Dhabi’s sustainable development counterpart, Abu Dhabi Environment Agency shared footage of a seven metre-long and a juvenile whale shark approaching the waters of Al Bahia for the second consecutive week as the National Aquarium on Environmental Cooperation pledges to supplement their diet until they return to the ocean. Check it out:

Abu Dhabi residents are urged to keep away from whale sharks and refrain from feeding them. It’s worth mentioning they’re a rare occurrence in the region’s coast.
