After hosting the 2020 edition with a limited number of guests, Yas Marina Circuit confirms this year’s Abu Dhabi GP will welcome fans and spectators in a “safe and managed environment.”
Let’s admit it, no one likes seeing empty stands in any sporting event. Last year witnessed Formula 1 racers square off in the season-ending race in front of a few VIPs and a number of frontline workers to honor their contributions in the UAE’s battle against Covid-19.
This year, things are getting back to normal with Yas Marina Circuit announcing they’re ready to “welcome back fans for one of the biggest events on the world’s sporting calendar,” confirming the Abu Dhabi leg to take place from 9th-12th December 2021. The race is scheduled to take place hot on the heels off the nation’s 50th National Day.
“This extraordinary year there will be a few changes to our regular format. 2021 will see us entertaining fans in a safe and managed environment, and we’ll be sharing more details once we launch our ticket sales over the coming weeks. It’s safe to say though, it will be a fantastic weekend to remember.”
