Abu Dhabi Puts On A Dazzling Show Celebrating UAE’s 49th National Day

Scores of Sheikhs, Ministers and highly-ranked officials joined UAE Rulers to attend an enchanting show celebrating the UAE’s 49th National Day in Abu Dhabi.

Al Jubail Island played to host to an immersive tech-savvy show projecting the nation’s development from a seed into a full bloom it is today after 49 years, showcasing a series of values that paved the way for the UAE’s progress: Determination, Optimism, Unity, Ambition, Wisdom, Persistence, and The Union.

Es Devlin, the mastermind behind the production, showcased the spectacle featuring a revolving cube structure displaying a line-up of scenes, varying from the UAE’s founding fathers to testimonials from the country’s frontline workers battling the Coronavirus pandemic tirelessly, to the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, to Emiratis who achieved the impossible including the likes of UAE’s first astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri, head of the Emirates Mars Mission Sarah Al-Amiri and Dr Fatima Al Kaabi, pioneer of the stem cell Coronavirus vaccine made in Abu Dhabi. Lastly, the show touched upon tolerance in the region, featuring the establishment of the Abrahamic Family House on Saadiyat Island.

The show was sided with a choir performing the UAE’s National Anthem, “Eishy Bilady” and special drone displays.

Meanwhile, Dubai marked the occasion going all out with light shows organized across the emirate, from Burj Khalifa, Dubai Festival City and the all-new Museum of the Future
