UAE Implementing Tourist And Resident Visas Suspensions Due To Coronavirus

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, the UAE is suspending tourist and resident visas temporarily, with diplomatic passport holders being the only exception.

In response to rising Coronavirus cases, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship announced suspending tourist and resident visas starting Tuesday, 17th March. The postponement is a temporary move, however. Plus, diplomatic passport holders are allowed to travel into the country.

Around 100 confirmed Coronavirus cases in the UAE

The UAE’s tally of confirmed Coronavirus cases stands close to 100 right now. With that said, they’ve also performed 125,000 tests, the highest in the world in terms of medical coverage. The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) urges residents to practice self-care through quarantine and social distancing.
